Solo Piano Music by Michael Butterworth

Michael began playing the piano at the age of four and has loved playing ever since. Having earned his masters degree in piano performance, Michael has won numerous awards throughout his collegiate career.

In January 1995, Michael was diagnosed with a type of Lymphoma cancer. He has been in remission since October of 1995. Since that time Michael has recorded Four CD’s: Promised Land, Reflections of Christmas, Seasons and Favorite Things. He hopes to have another CD out in the near future.

Currently Michael has been spending his time with his wife Julie and their five children, Shanae (20), Dustin (18), Shelby (15), Jonathan (10), and Savannah (3).

All the children enjoy playing the piano, like their dad, who is also their instructor, except for Savannah of course. Yet, even she tries to get into the act. The children hope to join their father in performing with him and on their own in the near future.

Michael enjoys camping, playing board games, and home schooling his children. The family also enjoys vacationing in South Dakota, Black Hills area.
